Monitor suggestions?

Hey guys, built a new rig and looking for a solid 19 inch LCD for around $200 and i dont care if rebates are used to bring it down.

Going to be used to high end gaming at 1280x1024 (atleast 8ms response w/ DVI)

Any suggestions?

I'd say go with an LG they have a low response time about 4-5ms and amazing contrast ratios 1400-2000:1. Depending on which model.

When you do things like measure your contrast ratio in "ideal" conditions i.e. a pitch balck room with absolutely no ambient light you can get measurements like this. Not a very realistic number for normal conditions. It is also probably a dynamic contrast which measures a light and dark point that dont necassarily have to appear on the screen at the same time to figure out contrast. WHich makes them number relatively impossible to reach under normal conditions. Static contrast is what you need to look at. Pry closer to 700:1.
