Monitor suggestion

Hey i need to buy or atleast order a monitory today or tommorow, my wifes monitor died so i am giving her mine.
The pc is only used for gaming and i play a huge range of games from call of duty - starcraft - world of warcraft - darksiders thou call of duty and wow are the the top two games i play.
I was about to go get the samsung PX2370 but looking throu the forums got me second guessing my self do i want an led or go for 120hz like the dell U2311hd or an asus. i dont really have a budget but i dont want to spend 800$ on a monitor either

Any suggestions would be appreciated

i saw that monitor but i dont really need the 3d glasses so i thought it would be a waste or money unless the monitor it self is really that good
 
see if you can find one without the glasses, you can always get them later. If you have a nice gfx card that can pump out significantly higher than 60fps on your games, consistently, then 120hz will be nice for you*. Or you can look up other monitors that run above 60Hz, but below 120Hz[1]*. I hear starcraft 2 has some nice 3d. I wouldn't say LED is necessarily better, you'd have to look up the review for the specific monitor.

* Assumption here that you're running it at a resolution for which you don't want to go any higher, let's say 1080p, and with all of your image detail options turned up to max. Or, you may just be one who prefers higher FPS, I dunno.

hey thanks....

i have a 4970x2 card at that but i am planning on changing it i was going to maybe switch to nvidia 480 but since ati's cards are around the corner i was just going to wait and see.

i was just worried with 120hz due to the tint issues i believe and dark;s i might be incorrect.

so any other suggestion on what monitor to get or is that asus a few posts up really the best one out there for me ....

i am between an acer or asus (posted above) or alienware or the the new benq looks interesting.

any other suggestions or opinions i really need to to either wait for the benq or order one of the other 3

i found this model asus VG236HE whats the difference between this and VG236H

the VG236HE is going for 375$ canadian so i just want to make sure i cant seem to find it on newegg

Asus VG236HE is the same monitor without the 3d glasses kit bundled in.

The Asus VG236H has the 3d glasses included. ;)
 
what would you chose between......
VG236HE and the alienware i might buy 2 so take that in consideration i dont know if it will matter for dual display and maybe eventually 3
