SyncMaster 750s (made by samsung), I've had this crt for about 5 years now; I'll be doing stuff on the desktop and it will shut off on me, can't get it back on unless I either: reboot or go into stanby.

What could be wrong?
 
Check that cable if your lucky thats it. When you say shut off do you mean power light goes out or monitor just goes to standby mode?
 
Monitor goes into standby, I have a duel setup, my secondary does not go into standby when the primary does.
