I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 230 Super Bright. I am running resolution 1280x1024 at 85Hz.

I got the impression this was the best CRT on there market at 19"....then why is it shaking the picture insanely? This is really annoying, I can tell that it is shaking from 15 feet away! What can I do to fix this?

also when i set it to 60Hz it stops shaking...but i should be able to set it higher then this shouldn't i?

most likely its electro-magnetic interference with the room your monitor is in. It usually comes from unshielded speakers, fans, and un-protected wires in your wall. The best way to check would be to move the monitor into a different part of your house or room and see if it still shakes as much or not at all.

huh, that might make sense. seeing that it is right by the power box...

lolz that would about do it, I had my monitor nexto my radio and it was doing the same. Do u have dual monitor setup? I had the same problem when i was running dual monitors, only because the monitor I was using was an old Pakard Bell 17" monitor made like in 93' or 94'. For some odd reason the monitor generated like ubar electro magnetic interfearence.
