I have been having a problem with my main display going blank for a few seconds randomly. It will do it a couple of times in a row. I changed video cards, from two 5570's to a single 6970 and still the same thing. I even had the monitor replaced and no go. I could be surfing the web or gaming and out of nowhere the middle monitor just goes blank. The two side monitors never do though, just the middle.

Any ideas on what it could be? Is it Windows 7? I did a google search and a bunch of people seem to experience the same thing.

what drivers are you using and has it happened with other driver versions or just that one? could also be the cable you're using if its hooked up to the mini DP.

Has happened with all drivers including the latest. It is hooked up with DVI.

Have you tried switching the middle monitor to display ports. I had similar issues with one of my monitors going blank. It ended up being a driver issue with 11.1a. Downgraded to 10.10e and it hasn't happen'd again.

I fixed it!!! I just had to a setting in Catalyst Control Center. In Advanced Display Settings I had to set the Display Detection Option to manual detection only.
