Alright my uncle called me up about 3 days ago and said that he left his computer on for a couple of days when he went out on his sail boat. When he got home the computer was in sleep mode and wouldn't come out of it. So he did a hard start. When the computer did boot up again, the wallpaper was clear, but everything else is fuzzy as hell?? I thought monitor gonig bad but then the wall paper would be fuzzy as well.

He's running winxp home
and it's a gateway computer (not sure of the make?)

any idea's?? maybe he'll need to reinstall vid driver's or something along those lines, but I'm really confused by this

thats happened to me before, its either a broken monitor or a corrupted hard drive. Try reinstalling windows

awww man that blows. Hopefully it's not the hdd. I'll have to test one of my monitors on his machine and see if it still does that.
