Monitor problem

Hi Everyone,

First time poster, long time reader. :) Great forum! I have an LCD monitor that is acting up. When I turn on the computer and monitor all I get from the monitor is a bright white screen with thin red lines on them. I have to let the monitor warm up for about 20 minutes, then remove the power cord briefly, plug it back in and it works fine again. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Is it on the way down? It's only 2 years old..thought these things would last longer!

Thanks!
MD

1. Make and model?
2. What type of connection?
3. Have you tried another input (if you can)?
4. Can you try either another video card or another computer (though I doubt that is the problem)?

As far as how long they last, it's comsumer electronics. Mass produced abroad. It's a crap shoot. I had my Planar 19" LCD for 4 years without a glitch.
