Hi,Today I was playing counter strike:source and while i was playing it all of a sudden turned to a black screen and said " HV frequecy to high". So I restarted it and in windows it was at 60hz and now eventhough I press it to 100hz it is still at 60hz. Iv tried reinstalling my video card drivers and nothing. Tried reinstaling monitor drivers but the monitor cant be found. Does anyone know what is going on? (my monitor is a viewsonic P95F+ and the card is a ATI 9800 pro) Thanks

Is your 9800 Pro running hot? I have one also and when I touch it it does feel pretty hot. I actually took the fan off the heatsink just to clean the dust and decided to just try and run it without the fan on. It crashed immediately.

Typical ATI crap. You will need to go into your ATI control centre and force the refresh rate. Not sure where exactly it is but look for it cause I no longer using ATI video card. By the way, what is your resolution setting?
