Hey guys, I finally got a video card for my desktop and am now looking for a new monitor to suit it(CRT doesnt do it any justice). I'm kind of limited on money atm and haven't made enough posts here to post my FS topic(slowly working on it lol). I'm looking to get one monitor now and two more later for a tri-monitor set up. I'm looking for a monitor that has a pivot function as well(can be portrait if need be).

This is the video card I got for my desktop:

What're my options without emptying my wallet?

Well, I'm working for $7/hr atm and it leaves my wallet pretty empty. I usually have around $150 or so to spend every two weeks.

I highly recommend you buy retail, not online, for your first LCD. You may very well have an issue or defect with a very inexpensive panel and most good stores accept returns no questions asked (i.e. they have no idea what a dead pixel is).

Take a look at the new 19.5" and 21.5" widescreens. They're all 5ms TN panels, but for the money you won't get anything else, and unless you're into professional photo editing or competition gaming, it won't hurt either.

This will give you an idea of what you might be able to find for the money:

I've bought from Staples and Office Depot before and they've had great return policies as well. If there's anything unpleasant about the screen or if it bothers you, take it back. Some people might be annoyed by a glossy screen for example.
