Monitor not working

I just changed the vidcard in my old computer to a 5200 from a 6800. I'm now setting up the old computer for my brother. We have a monitor for him, and we tested it out with the computer while it had the 6800 and everything went smoothly. So today I hook it up with the 5200 and when I turn it on I see the windows loading screen, then the monitor turns off and the light on it starts blinking. When I click the menu button it turns on and says "Out of Range" and then it said something to the effect of PC configured correctly at the bottom. There's also a Red, White, and Blue Rectangle in the middle. What's going on?
 
Anyone? I hate to be impatient, but we have everything ready and I'd like to set up a LAN today. The only thing I could think was perhaps the refresh rate was too high for the monitor to support, but it worked just fine with the 6800, and while the 5200 is undoubtedly a shit card, I don't think it would have any problems with refresh rates :D.
 
Nevermind, got it working. I kind of knew what I had to do but I didn't feel like doing it. I lugged my monitor in and changed the refresh rate (forgot I had changed it to 100 after I had used that monitor) and now all is well.
