Why is my desktop monitor making a high pitched noise all of a sudden? I know it's the monitor because I've narrowed it down by turning on and off all of my electronic equipment on my desk.
 
Put your monitors name + "coil whine" into a search engine.

Samsung LU,G7 or G8 is my bet.

Plugging it directly into a wall socket without extensions may help.
