Monitor Lag?

For some reason or the other I am getting some pretty bad LCD monitor lag. Basically when I scroll up or down on pages there is a delay, kinda like a blurry wave that washes over the screen. Recently I had to reformat my computer and just finished downloading all of the required drivers. Can anyone help me out...please?
 
Initially I would suggest reinstalling Chipset & VGA drivers (remove 1st with Driver Cleaner). Anything plinged in Device Manager?
 
Plinged...I have no knowledge of such a term. I will try doing that, but have never had a problem from previous reformats.
 
70 hits and no one has any other ideas?

And yes, are we talking about your Comp in your sig or not?
 
It is actually my mother's laptop that I just reformatted. It use to be mine, but I gave it to her recently. So no, it is not what is in my sig.

Thanks you sooo much you should have sadi this from the begining. So you are saying it only started this after you reformatted correct? Go to the manufactor's website and download all the drivers for the laptop. Also, it could be a tweak that you have to do on the video driver's control panel. Have you googled the problem? Also, FAQ on the manufactor's website is a good idea as well. I suggest you google the laptop's model number and then add the problem.
Example: Dell 9100 LCD delay problem.
 
Yes, basically I reformatted the laptop before giving it to her. I reinstalled all the drivers that came with it and then proceeded to download the most current drivers off of the producer's website (sager). The computer is great, but their tendency to update drivers sucks...they didn't even update the drivers for a year, only a few months.

Now that I think about it I did not uninstall the drivers from the drivers disc before installing the drivers from the producer's website...could this be the conflict?

So it only happened when you installed the drivers from the producer's webstie? Yeah that could be a problem. I say if the drivers from the disc work then use them.
