I’ve been reading these display threads for awhile and the more I read the more confused I get, so I’m hoping to get some help.

My current/old monitor is starting to have some issues so I thought I would upgrade. I started looking at the 34” ultra wide ones, like the Dell. Then I started reading the Samsung TV thread and started to lean towards that. Then I read the Sony TV thread and started leaning towards the Sony 830C. Now I’m more confused than when I started looking.

My graphics card is a GTX 980. For gaming I pretty much only play mmorpg’s. I don’t play any FPS’s or fast reaction games. Not only do FPS’s make me nauseous, but I’m retired (old) and my reactions are pretty slow anyway. That being said, since I’m retired when I’m relaxing I either play the mmorpg’s (or stuff like witcher 3) or I watch Netflix.

Based on the above information does the Sony 830C seem like it would be a good choice. If not, I would really appreciate some recommendations.

Thanks for any help/suggestions!
