Hello!

I am about to take my first steps into widescreen gaming via Nvidia surround (just the surround, I won't use the 3D part) and I was wondering if I could get some help and suggestions for monitors. My price range is uncapped, though I would prefer not to spend $1000 per monitor. 24" and up would be nice as well.

The main use of my rig is gaming.

I really appreciate the help :) not very knowledgable when it comes to hardware beyond graphics cards.

I will be getting the new 480s in SLI as well to support it. I am not sure though if the monitors need to be certified for Surround or if that is just for the 3D part.

I imagine many of the threads about eyefinity setups will be of help to you, as they are the same thing in the end, if you ignore display port needs.*

Yes I saw those but I did not know if there were different requirements for Surround and Eyefinity or if there were newer monitors out/coming out that were not part of those discussions.

The only differences I'm aware of (if not using 3D) is the need for DP, or SLI.
