I have a 19" LCD Samsung SyncMaster 940bf.
Just this morning I heard a slight buzzing coming from it. I turned off the computer and went to work. I came back home and turned the computer and monitor back on. The buzzing was a little louder this time. I went to the Samsung website and they said to mess with the screens brightness. The buzzing went away after I turned up the brightness a bit. However, about 2 minutes later the screen went blank. I turned the monitor off and then back on...it was fine...10 seconds later it went blank. I continued this cycle for about a minute before I gave up.
I then disconnected my samsung and hooked up another monitor from my second box. Works just fine. Swapped the cables around to see if they were the problem...didn't fix it.
I unhooked all cables from the samsung except the power and turned it on. It did it's self test for a bit and went blank. So it's definatly something in the monitor. Thinking something on the board.
Just curious if anyone ever ran into a similar problem and did they ever have the monitor repaired? This thing is just a tad over a year old (from when I bought it) and I'm still trying to dig out the paperwork to see if it's still under some sort of warranty.
