Monitor for video and motion graphics work

Hey guys!

So I'm on a lookout for a decent monitor for video editing and motion graphics work, and occasionally some colour grading for web, so pretty much exclusively sRGB.
I'm thinking 27" WQHD but maybe a 24" 1920x1080 could suffice too (i'm currently on a 23" 1920x1080 and it's just about enough).

So far on my radar are Eizo CX270 (there is a discount going on in the UK right now, £700!) and Nec PA272W. I know both of them are wide gamut monitors but from what I gather there shouldn't be a problem with setting them into an sRGB mode since they do cover the sRGB 100%+.

Are there any other options I should be looking at? Am I maybe going for an overkill with these wide gamut ones and there are better (and possibly cheaper) alternatives? Or do these two sound like great choices for my needs?

NEC EA274WMi might be a good choice for you as well. 27" 2560x1440 at a better price.

The CX270 uses a very grainy matte coating which makes it kind of a joke compared to newer 'professional' monitors. Unless you plan on calibrating the PA272W with the Spectraview kit to take advantage of its hardware calibration it is a waste of money. The PA272W =DEAD= reviewed could only cover 85.9% of the sRGB color space in when using the sRGB mode, so you will have to rely on color management and use the full gamut option to achieve better results.

The AOC Q2770QPU can cover 99.6% before and 100% of the sRGB color space after calibration and is usually significantly cheaper than the EA274WMi. The Eizo EV2736W is glow free which is a major advantage but it usually tops out at 97%.
