Is there a such thing, i got 2 of the same monitors, but even if the settings are the same... it still looks a bit different.. yes 1 monitor has been used more than the other but i didnt think it would be that much of a difference.
 
Sure there is, though you'll need to buy a colorimeter with it to work. There's sites like http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ you can use to fiddle around with your settings for testing and manual adjustment. Even if it's the same model monitor, there's always some discrepancy between panels. There are also times you get different panels for the same model (search "panel lottery" :eek:).
 
O wow, well for the most part i got it pretty close, i dont wanna really screw with it to much more before i get them off balance. next time i get a pair of monitors im going to make sure i do a full fledge research. Thank you for that link though maybe later on ill mess with a few things from it.
 
Your monitors should not only be matched, but calibrated as well (assuming you want to see what is really being displayed). Try a Spyder from Colorvision. It really is surprising how things look when they are the way they are supposed to be.

The best calibration software is CalMAN and it is compatible with cheap colorimeters such as Spyder 2-3 and Eye-One Display 2.
 
yea i really would like it, its like 1 shows a little darker then the other so i got to set them all different to look remotely the same, but i dont wanna spend 300 dollars on some software.

I am sure my monitor was never calibrated correctly from the beginning and i remember a long time ago messing with the options and had left it that way until i got the second monitor plugged in and ready to go.

wow its driving me insane that 1 monitor is that off balanced at the same exact settings.

So if i get that it will both monitors identical. If im guaranteed that then i have no problem getting it.
 
Well there is no guarantee, the monitors could be so different that they can not be made to exactly match each other. Also, I made a serious mistake, I forgot that the express version will only do one monitor, you need the pro version to do two. That one is http://www.amazon.com/ColorVision-S...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261357222&sr=1-1 and is a little more expensive. You could also try a Spyder2Pro which is the one I have, it is cheaper than the 3, but not SUPPORTED under Windows 7, although mine had no problems with Windows 7 64bit.
