I need a TV for my kitchen that I'm remodeling and I've decided to go with ~24" LCD...I can either run a DVR box or straight coax...

I'd like to be able to do true 1080p on it as it will be primarily (99% of the time) a TV.

Here are the three I narrowed it down to:

Samsung T240HD - ~ $300
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001280
This is 1920 x 1200 native so will it be a bad choice to watch HD TV on?

ASUS VH242H - ~ $170

Dell S2409W - ~ $220

Anyone with any experience with any of these or if you just have a helpful opinion...please give me your input...

Also screen shots of your monitor in action (particularly with a TV source) would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all in advance!

I guess my main concern on the three I listed are the quality of each...also with the Samsung will I have black bars on the top and bottom of the screen when watching HDTV since it is 16:10 instead of 16:9?

Yes, but you can choose to have the picture take up the entire screen if you choose.

You can't go wrong imo with Asus, Dell, Samsung, LG, etc. Read newegg & professional reviews to get a general idea of the pros/cons of a monitor. There's a chance that any monitor or TV you buy will have dead pixels. If you buy from Newegg, you can't return the monitor (only exchanges), so I would buy from a B&M store.

Yes, unless you crop or stretch the image.

This one. It has a lot of input connections so you can hook up any AV stuff you need to it. Plus it has a built in tv tuner. Always helpful since you're using it as a TV. The other models you listed, don't as far as I know.

You can get it now from Buy.com at $269 plus free shipping.
