Dear [H]ardforumers :)

I have 2 monitors and very small PC table accomodating them. So, monitors stands take a lot of useful working space.

To get rid of stands I'm plannig to get monitor arm but here is the problem. My budget is X ammount of money. And I have 2 options to spend this budget:

1. To buy 2 single monitor arms - good ones from respectable manufacturer
2. To buy 1 double monitor arm - probably! good one from no name manufacturer

Question, what are the advantages and disadvantages of those 2 options? Do you see any?
I beleive 2 single monitor arms is a better solution since the load will be less on every single arm. From the other hand 2 arms will take a bit more space on the table and will look not as slick as 1 arm. So, do anypone have any opinions about what option is better?

it really depends on what you're going to be doing. If you don't plan on moving the mointors around too much, go with #2,

but if you're going to be rotating, showing clients things on your monitor, etc, go with option 1

Are they all made equal or are there brands that are must haves for this sorta thing?

I need something for three 28" LCD's.:(

Go with 1 dual arm. You will save the most space having 1 mount with two arms. If you get a dual arm that will support your monitors then you won't have to worry about the weight. It just seems silly to get two single mounts for the same PC.

The only disadvantage I can think of for a dual monitor mount is there is just one point of stress on the desk rather than two smaller ones... possibly an issue if you have a flimsy desk.
