Monitor and laptop wont sync...

I have a 17" viewsonic and a sony vaio v505. When i plug the monitor to the laptop, it works for a while, but then after a few hours..it just dies out. The monitor says "No Sync". The only way to get it working again is to uninstall the video card driver (Radeon 9200) and restart the computer.

ANy ideas how to stop this?
