Monitor advise for noobie

I have been lurking here for a while and would like for someone to nudge me in the right direction in selecting a monitor. My needs are simple but I want to get the best bang for the buck.

I will use it for 95% computer work—no games. I want to be able to use it to hook up to Direct TV pvr in an emergency to watch TV—No tuner is necessary, but it must be HDCP compliant. HDMI or DVI is required.

My budget limit is about $325. Either a 24” or 26” with TN panels is ok. I have been mostly looking at 1920 x 1200 monitors, but I was wondering with my simple needs if the 1920 x 1080 monitors would perform just as well.

Here is what I was looking at:
Asus VW266H
Samsung T240HD
Samsung T260HD

Any suggestions on anything different for my needs?

Samsung P2370HD is currently the best TV/Monitor Combo.

Not sure how much it is where you are, if it's over your budget the T240HD is the 2nd best combo.

Thanks, but the TV combo is not important as long as it is HDCP compliant. I will be using it 95% for straight computer work and no games.
