I am in the market for a new monitor, I play mostly on PS4 Pro and XB1, but have a 1070 gtx and plan to play Destiny 2 mainly on pc. My wish list is 27-28 inches, 4K, HDR, 144hz, and g-sync, but those monitors aren't on the market yet and when they are they will be way more expensive than I am looking to spend. It seems that I can get 4 of the 5 on my wish list, but the hardest thing to decide between is 144hz and gsync. I may also be looking into getting a 1080ti by years end. I currently have a 23 inch Acer that I have had for almost 10 yrs so anything would be an upgrade. I would prefer to send $3-400 but can go as high as $600. What are your recommendations?

For games, hertz is much more life-changing than resolution. I have a 4K screen, and I would much rather a 144Hz 1440p screen for gaming. For productivity, 4K is awesome, but games look better when running at 144Hz than at higher resolution.

I am really wanting a 4K screen mostly for my PS4 Pro and possible XBox X. The thing that mostly stops me pulling the trigger on a monitor is gsync vs freesync. I don't see myself getting into AMD cards anytime soon (had them for years and drivers drove me crazy) so gsync seems to be the way to go. But at this point you have to compromise somewhere.

I am contemplating just going with a 1080p Acer predator 27 inch monitor for the time being as there is not a monitor that can give me all I want at this point and when it can it will be way out my price point. I
