Monitor advice for a newbie.

Hi, i want to buy a new PC so i was looking at a new monitor between Samsung P2250 and 2233SW. The former is newer, TCO 05 certified, faster response time, looks better(IMO) but doesnt have HDMI. So which one should i buy, i dont own a PS3 or even plan to buy one, i dont watch blu ray movies but i will be using this monitor for playing games like MW2, GTA4, Crysis, and other games which will come out later this year. Thanks.

Looks really good but i dont think it's meant for gamers since it's an E-IPS panel and it's out of my budget which is around $180-200.

200$ budget? And you only want to play PC games, then the LG W2253v would be a good choice. It has good color reproduction for a TN and almost no ghosting, easily one of the better 60hz TN panels.

The LG is better than both the Samsungs you suggested. I owned the 24" model before and it was excellent.

Also looking at the Samsung P2250, Like the OP at twice (here in Australia atleast) the price the Dell 2209WA is a bit too expensive to consider.
