I lent my Samsung 226BW to a friend and when it was returned to me with the male end of the power adapter literally stuck inside the female on the monitor. Upon pulling it out the female receptacle looks damaged and the male will no longer fit in and thus I cannot power the monitor.

I have no idea where I would start in order to resolve this issue and was looking for some guidance as to where to start looking. Thanks in advance!

nobody has any idea? id would be willing to add a Paypal incentive for guidance I'm desperate here...

So the plug is damaged? And the 3 pins on the monitor are bent?
You can try needle nose pliers and get the pins back straight. The plug you probably have a few extra laying around.
