i see no option the cats for moniter spanning... is it possible? i can do it on my other comp with a geforce 4 in it...

its used when you have 2 moniters, and instead of the 2nd one just being there, the taskbar extends on to the 2nd one also effectively making your screen res 3200x1200 (if it were 1600x1200 to start... picked those cause they are easy to multipy)

i've never managed to make my 8500 do it. stuff is always on one monitor or the other.

IIRC, Hydravision is ATI's equivilant to Nview, which provides this function, and many more, on NV cards. It is a separate download and IIRC is somewhat buggy and lacks features. (they haven't really done much work on it lately, or ever for that fact)

you could try downloading ultramon... i've heard good things about it

i'm not sure if it would allow spanning though

good luck :)

I use Ultramon all the time. It works perfectly to do spanning.

I use Ultramon as well with my ATI Radeon cards.
I just upgraded to a nVidia FX5500 and now Ultramon doesn't span to the second monitor and my taskbar is all cluttered.

ACtually it's been my experience that ATi has sub par multimonitor support when compared to Nvidia.
