Looking forward to trying this one out for a while! Pretty much a FPS Dota right? Some of the Demigod guys were involved too? I loved that game, but the community blew ass, the netcode wasn't fixed until too late and all of 3 people play it now.

I've been trying it out since Friday and it's been fun so far. I'm really wondering if I should buy it or not; I'm afraid of getting bored after a while since there are only a few maps. That being said, I keep on telling myself "last round and I'm off to bed" yet I keep on playing and playing. I can't make my mind up...

I bought the game day 1 and have been enjoying it. There is going to be a few new maps coming very soon, and a map editor to make your own maps. It's a good game, but the community is lacking. Hopefully this free weekend will spark it.

I ended up buying it. I thought considering how much I've been playing it and that it's only 7€ over the weekend I might as well bite. I sent a Guest Pass to a friend of mine hoping he'll find it fun too.

If there are new maps coming soon and a map editor then that comforts me in my choice of purchasing the game.

Liked it, and it seemed like fun. Didn't buy it though, it didn't seem like enough to pull me away from LoL.

The free weekend was successful, because I ended up buying a copy.

The game's a lot of fun, but it runs like shit on my system. @1080p with the details about 3/4 of the way up there was terrible hitching and pausing whenever the action heated up. Had to drop the sliders to about 1/4 of the way to get acceptable performance. For an Unreal engine game that doesn't seem to be doing anything particularly impressive visually, it was disappointing. My PC's got a Q6600 and a 4870 and it just chews up all other UE3 games at max detail.

Also, people playing Assassins are dumb. Every match has a shit ton of them, so I would just play as a tank. He can't be one shot by the grapple attack, so every match I'd go on ridiculous killing sprees by finishing off the assassins trying to get me. And they'd never learn. Over and over again, get grappled, survive, shoot them, finish them off with the spinning sword attack.

I had some fun with this game over the weekend, but also decided not to buy. For a free weekend, I was expecting the servers to be more full. I preferred games with 8+ players, but the number of servers to choose from with that many players and a low ping was lacking. I haven't completely written it off, so I'll keep my eye on it.

I bought a copy of this as well. We played it for all of about 12 minutes at our lan on Saturday before going back to TF2. :p

Seemed like it might be pretty decent, but my first impression was it was just too simplistic, and the tons of little robots running around made it seem like it would get insanely chaotic with more than just a few players. Nothing really to distinguish it above other shooters (or RTS's - did I detect a hint of RTS-flavor?).

It's first person shooter meets tower defense. Robots are the only effective way of making the enemy core vulnerable, so they need to be escorted to the enemy base.

The whole thing is pretty regimented because the robots move along pre-determined paths.

You mean third person shooter, no?

The friend who I sent a Guess Pass to bought the game yesterday. We played for 4 or 5 hours last night online - we didn't see time fly by. The thing that can be bothering is when you end up on a server with people who bail out regularly causing the teams to become unbalanced. At one point we ended up being three 2 star Pros against a team of five composed of 3 to 5 star Pros... We got owned within of minutes.

I get frustrated when I end up in a team with people who completely neglect tower construction or escorting bots to pierce though the enemy's defense. On a couple of occasions the team I was with would just hang around the base borders and shoot incoming bots and that's it... You can't win like that.

couldnt get the damn thing installed. I'd click the download link and nothing happened tried couple times over the weekend. This is in the steam client = no buy for me.
