Monarch has Conroe PO

Not scheduled to ship until Aug. 21st...kind of a long wait, hell the nForce boards may be out by then.

But why would you want them. nForce boards are for AMD chips.

Nforce 590 Intel edition.

How do you think people have been running SLi on intel machines? :p

Still no clue why they would want to ;). I can swing both ways when it comes to CPUs but after my experiences with nVidia they will never touch my money again.

With nvidia or one of the manufacturers? Probably the latter

Honestly it was too long ago to remember, but the only nVidia based card I had was buggy as hell. S3 and since their demise ATI have always served me well.

Yeap no more ATI for Intel, and a lot less money for ATI and AMD. Sounds like a great buisness plan!

Because AMD has ATI now. No more ATI for intel.

That doesn't go through till the end of the year and there is always the chance that Intel will one up AMD and place a higher bid.

This is why I will never buy from Monarch again. They will charge your card as soon as they can. I've waited over 6 months for a refund for $300+ and still haven't received it. All I did was cancel an order 10 minutes after I placed the order..

Purchase of this product is a presale and is neither refundable nor cancelable.
Delays and shortages are common during introduction of a new processor.
Please remember that your transaction will be billed at the time of the order.

Any vendor that charges your card before the products are even available to ship are gay IMO. I can't believe you have waited 6 months for a refund. Why are you still waiting? After 3 weeks i would of issued a charge back.

Not true, shopblt and tank guys weren't charging people's cards until the orders shipped.

I thought charging before shipping was illegal unless they have it up as pre sale

Note that the August 21st date seems to be a "worst case scenario." I put in my order the instant that popped up (I'm #2 on the list) and they told me that mine will ship the instant they get 'em in stock, which is pretty soon apparently.
I dunno if I'm a special case (they put the red Aug 21st info up AFTER I ordered), but I think the August 21st date was in there because they're expecting major availability that date.
Also...my card hasn't been charged after 3 days, too.

I actually really like Nvidia cards and think their driver panel is MUCH better than ATI's...however I think dual card setups are a waste.
I still remember those people that dropped tons of cash into a pair of Voodoo 2's running in SLI. They were happy for about 6 months until something better came along for the price of only 1 of those cards...and it worked with everything without any special driver support. The same thing's going to happen again in a few months so I just got a 7900GT and saved the extra $300 for a new single card solution in the fall/winter. Obviously I think whatever Nvidia and ATI come it with for DX10 will likely also offer dual-card support...but it's a horrible cycle that seems to only have a lifetime of 7-8 months before another single card bests that setup again.

I should have read this forum before I purchased the E6600 + ASUS P5W DH from them... you guys got me worried about the credibility of this reseller.

Don't worry about their credibility. You'll get what you ordered and you'll get it in good condition exactly as you would expect it. The only question is when you'll get it.

I think I'm just going to preorder from Monarch then instead of MemoryLabs, has anyone found out how many orders Monarch has for the E6600?

~J

So....these guys really not going to ship til the 21st or is it safe to order from them to get it sooner?

Jaime
