I've replaced a lot of parts on my PC, but I've never built a PC from scratch. I'm not sure I trust my skills to fix or diagnose a problem when I have 5-10 new untested parts, i.e. which part is broken. I've found a cheap system builder CyberPower with shaky customer feedback, but it didn't seem like anything that a little know-how couldn't get around. However, it looks like Monarch Computers will let you pick your parts for a Barebone PC and put it together and test it for you. Mobo, CPU, Memory, Case, PSU. They have good prices, not always the best, but I figure with this kind of head start and testing I'll get a better computer for less than the cheapest system builder would charge and a little bit of support too, i.e. dead out of the box. Am I missing something, or does this seem like a pretty sweet deal for a relative noob?
