Hey all, I've been getting this error ever since I've jumped drivers from 8.8 to 8.9Beta (8.53), and no matter what I do and can't seem to get CCC to work any more...which really sucks because I wanna fix my fan speed. I also get CLI.Implementation sometimes as well.

Any help?
 
Just fixed this same problem on my Mom's machine by re-installing the .NET framework. It worked.

The new .NET versions don't overwrite or replace the old one. As far as I know, the CCC uses .NET 2.0, not 3.5, so try uninstalling .NET 2.0 and reinstalling it.
 
I can't figure out how to uninstall .NET 2.0 in Vista....I've googled it, looked over the board, but nothing seems to be right.

Can anyone help me out?

No idea. Try just installing 2.0 without worrying about uninstalling the old one.

Have you also tried uninstalling the ATI drivers, rebooting into safe mode, running driver sweeper, reboot, install new drivers (non betas), reboot?
 
Trying to just install 2.0 tells me its already installed.

And no, not driver sweeper...I couldn't find a decent (free) driver cleaner. Link?
 
Bumping, no such luck. :/ Driver sweeper doesn't help, I continue to get the MOM error throughout, even with no ATi drivers installed.

Ah, shit. I was working on an XP machine. Well, I'm out of ideas, cuz that's how I did it. I saw some people who had good luck with uninstalling the CCC, then reinstalling it (JUST CCC, not the whole driver).
 
CCC isn't installed. After I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall, it just gives me an error and says it can't be.

Don't tell me I have to format over this stupid crap. This is a somewhat common problem (I see it a lot and have had it happen a few times) and have had it happen before while on XP...
 
I'm not sure what to tell you. It's apparently pretty common as there are a bajillion instances through Google. My bet is that it is a software conflict, just what software?
 
My main concern is wanting to be able to control my 4850s fan, and I can't do that without CCC. :/ Shit sucks.
 
Did you try the bundle of CCC + Driver after an uninstallation of the old drivers + driver sweeper?

Have you tried a Vista repair? If you insert the Vista install disc, you can do a sort of partial reinstall, might help.

Does the Admin Event Log have any more information?
