I'm looking at the Corsair 520HX or the Hiper 580W but both have only 4 SATA power cables. I will have at least 4 drives in RAID 5 and maybe 1 or 2 dvd burners. The motherboard will be Abit IP35 Pro which can support 6.

Is it possible to add extra SATA cables to these psu's? Do I have to go for the Corsair 620 (more power than I'll need)? Please feel free suggest any other moderately priced pus's that are recommended and meet my needs.

Thanks

If you buy an HX520 and want extra SATA cables contact customer service and they'll send you more for a small fee, usually just shipping.

There are also adapters that change 4-pin molex to SATA. They are pretty cheap on the 'egg, but if Corsair is willing to ship you additional SATA power cables, that would be the better route.
