In my new build I would like to have a modular power supply. Can anyone recommend one for me?Im thinking something around 600 watts.

You know I recently switched to a modular one and it isnt THAT great. You end up with some unused connectors anyway. Then again my case is a POS and my computer doesnt look like much to begin with anyway so maybe thats a part of it. Just my 2 cents.

The easy way to remember is that our Modular line is called HX. TX and VX are fixed-cable. Anything with an HX in front of it is modular.

Wow, didn't know we had a Cosair poster on here! I've got the HX520, and it's awesome! I would definitely reccommend the Corsair modular PSUs to anyone.

Ultra offers modular systems as does ThermalTake.

If you call PCP&C directly, they will build you a supply with connectors of your choosing, but the PSU will not be "modular".

Corsair PSUs are stout.:D

Ultra have a rather.. mixed record, so I'd be careful in that direction! Only need to look at the X2 tested here recently to see how bad some of them are.

I'm happy with my HX620W - high quality, modular and nigh-on silent.

I have an Ultra 1000W X3 and its just fine............the X3 series had had nothing but good reviews, the X2 is another story.

I would not hesitate to buy another X3. Anything designed by the "guru" is ok with me.:D
