Modular Laptop HDD question, Rather important

Ok, So I was looking to buy a Laptop HDD for a mod I'm working on. For this mod, I'll need to put the HDD in a IDE to USB2 case kind of thing. The thing is, the HDD I've paid for (on a FS/FT forum) is one like this:

The seller has my money, and is offering to return it if this won't work out. I'd like to buy from him, hes a good guy and a good price. Would one of these HDD's work with a 2.5" external enclosure?
