So I'm curious about something. I was thinking that when you would download say a Nvidia driver it would install/unpack the driver somewhere then install it on your OS. Then you could go back into a folder and say the last 3 drivers you installed and you have the files doing nothing but taking up space. Do games do the same thing? I recently downloaded Smite and Heroes of the storm which are both large games but I cannot find the downloaded 3-5gb files only the installed files. So I guess my question is why does some software do one thing and others do another or am I just not finding the useless install file somewhere?
Windows even lets you remove the downloaded files from their latest drivers in windows cleanup right? So I guess I just assume these large install files are sitting somewhere?
