Modem Frustration

I'm working on a computer for someone where I had to reformat the darn thing. My only issue left is the Creative Modem Blaster v.92 PCI modem (GOSH WHY?!) and the fact that the driver supplied by the Creative site takes forever to attempt to setup and there is nothing in the actual directory when it's done. I need the driver obviously because Windows detects the device as PCI Simple Communications Controller and it won't download a driver correctly unless you have the specific Creative driver.

My problem stems from the fact that the owner can't find the CD and apparently the website is a bust. Anyone know any possible reasons for such an issue?
