Are dremels that good? everybody loves them, what is so good about them? Do you finish faster with a dremel or do you make it look better?

Dremels are good for detail and small jobs. If your cutting a basic window, the Jigsaw will save your TONS of time. If your cutting elaborate windows then the dremel will fit more towards your artistic needs. As for fan holes, a Hole saw is the easiest, but they are a bit pricy. A dremel will cut a nice fan hole if you take your time and are careful.

add a 14" bandsaw and a Bridgeport vertical milling machine with assorted collets and bits for all applicaitons to the list :)

couldn't do 1/2 my stuff without those
