Modding the Community in 2006

Nice write up on modding, makes me want to go pick up a case and mod the hell out of it. Or maybe that was before I read the article too... :)

I think if Dante's message is "the modding community is growing" I would have to agree with him and it's a good thing. I what's "in" and "out" changes quickly and the tools and skills have grown exponetially, but I think that's all good. It gives more people a reason to mod and more ways to do it. Even with all the possible "production mod" cases that may soon be on the market, I think that's a good thing. Even if someone just buys one of those and throws some fans and lights in, they're still making it there own. The great thing about an expanded modding community is there's many different levels for people to get involved. From the pre-mod buyers to the uber-modders with with dremels and airbrushes. More people means more ideas, never a bad thing in the modding world.

Why all the profanity though?

I usually try to tone it down a bit, but this time I thought what the hell.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback..

Awwwwwww.... come on. I haven't interviewed any modders since I have been working for Paul. But now that I have this side project I want to get back into the interviews.
