Has anyone ever modded a TV or a stereo or something like that?

like one day i was just thinking, could i put a 80mm LED fan in the back of my TV? or maybe a window on the side?

am i crazy thinking about this stuff, or have people done this?

if so please post pics :)

Oh yeah. I put a window on the top of my vcr and I painted the recessed SONY letters silver. Can't really see it though, because I have my dreamcast right on top of it. I have pictures of it somewhere so I'll try to find them.

edit: found the picture. Keep in mind this was done in about an hour because I had nothing better to do.

I've got a half completed XBox controller mod in the works. I have no camera, so no pics for me. :(

Trying to figure something out to replace the XBox logo with... Too bad I screwed up the dome getting it out. :( I'm hoping to figure out a way to fix it soon...

Oh shit I now know what I have to do with my minifridge(mini, but it's still a few feet tall). Did you do two layers and evacuate the air in between? I can't imagine that would be too efficient if you just did a single layer. It looks fucking awesome, though.

Not to mention, you lose all of your door-storage.

There are two layers, but only because that's what I had. Someone gave me a huge sheet of 1/8" lexan, so I doubled it up to make it fit the moulding.

It doesn't seem to lose much heat through the door.

Ive modded non computers before, I just dont remember what. I modded my PSX by putting a window in it, changing the LED, and painting it black, too bad I didnt use vinyl dye and its sticky to this day. I should sand it all off and redo it. Too bad the unit as a whole doesnt work anymore either, but it might be user error.

Is it just me or does that look completely like a photochop? I don't mean to shoot you down if it is real, but something about it looks just like a photochop...:(

No "in progress" pics unfortunately.

Let's just say it was yellow.

For those who doubt, here you go.
