Modding my 9600XT? some advice...

Hey everyone. I'd like to put a better cooler on my 9600XT, or heatsinks on the ram. Would this increase the performance and OC'ability? Any suggestions on what hardware I should use, and how it's done?

A lot of people use the 1u AMD coolers that can be found for under $20 for the gpu. Simply measure and drill, carve to fit the card, etc. Mount with bolts, nuts, and rubber washers but not too tight (don't want to warp the PCB or break it/crush the core).

I used an old P233MMX heatsink I custom cut to fit around the components on the card, mounted a 60mm Delta fan to it with shroud. Used another P233mmx heatsink and cut it up for use on the ram.

However, adding a different heatsink to the GPU will probably not net you any gain in OC unless you've vmodded the card. Same with memory. A 9600xt runs very cool to begin with, it only starts to get hot after modding and some extreme overclocking.
