Modding for Accelero X1

I just read the review of the X1 on the frontpage of Hardocp
and they say the cooler stands high on the cards, and that
it may be in the way of the case side panel.

What I am wondering is if it would be possible
to cut a rectangular hole, and somehow having the fan
of the X1 exposed allowing fresh air in?
If not maybe having some air duct fitting straight to
the fan.

The Accelero X1/2 got in the way for him because of the two 120MM fans on the side panel. If the fans wasnt there it would fit. If it didnt fit Arctic-Cooling wouldnt have shipped them out. If your going to buy this make sure you case doesnt have fans on the side panel. Or if you have a Big case like me Thermaltake Xaser III the Accelero X1/2 would fit even with the side panel fans. :D

I have a Super Lanboy as a case.
What kind of mod you think would
work for giving the X1/2 fresh air though???

I'm actually trying to decide on getting this
or the NV Silencer 5 rev. 3 for my 7800GT.
I like the Silencer cause it exausts the air
out the back insted of circulating hot air.
Thats what i'm worried about with the X1/2.

You can add or if you didnt already a high speed or normal speed 120mm fan in front of your case. That would be the best thing. As seeing that the (W) of your case is the same like mines 8.2 that Accelero X1/2 will fit. Its going going be like a CPU it doesnt need fresh air. The amount of air coming from the 120mm in front should be enough for both the Accelero and CPU. Both the CPU fan and the Accelero will pull a huge amount of air that the air they pull in would be cool air.
