i have a 9800 pro vid cad, (will upload pic if needed) and since i dont have money to buy a new 6800 or a x800, id like to know how i could install a new heatsink and/or fan so i can be able to oc my card more. the main reason im doing this is cause of doom 3, and i want to get every bit performance from my card. if u have any links to tutorials, or recommendations on which heatsink/fan to be id appreciate it. id prefer to do as little alteration to the card as possible (by alteration i mean drilling holes in it or something radical like that).

thanks in advance

Check Rojakpot.com they have all sorts of guide from using a old amd heatsink for ur video card to flashing 9800s to 9800XTs.

i took the heatsink off my 128mb 9800 pro to see which core i had, but i dont know where to look. i dont know what numbers to look for or where to look. if someone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate.

thanks

wipe off the goop, and look for something in the center that starts with an R... and then see if the numbers following it are 350 or 360
