is there any modder here who lives in new york city, ny?... and more specific, that goes to brooklyn tech high school?

i dont know if this is off topic but since this school year is ending and the next is starting, i m thinking of starting a modding club in my school with a few friends and i just want to know how many of the people i see everyday are actually members of the [H]ard Forum

this might be a new chance for people to make new modding friends and also share ideas

so if the mods think this is appropriate, then post the name of ur city and school and see which other members attend

if this is totally inappropriate, then mods, please delete... but if its just in the wrong section of the forum, please move it to the right place

im nowhere near you but i can see where you're going with this we need a sort of UG style association for modders in chapters around the world

in my school you needed 10 people and a supervisor to start a club, while i couldve gotten 10 people (although probabily only 3 who were my friends were actually modders) i didnt really have a supervisor. couldve gotten the art teacher, i was gonna mod out one of the computers but he couldnt get permission for me :(
 
if you really want to set something like this you should use something like www.meetup.com ... go there and then report back ;)
 
I'm about 40 minutes from "the city", and I'm wayyyyy past school age...does that matter? :D

my main point wasnt solidly looking for people to start a club... its more like i want to know if theres anyone on this forum that goes to any of our schools... that way we could probably make new friends, trade modding ideas, start clubs, etc

Actually, you are thinking more along the lines of insane 70's and 80's heavy metal singers who have moved onto doing reality TV. WE are the geeks. :p
 
wayne, I go to Tech. Can't help you with the club though, I graduate this summer.

Edit: BTW I'm in the CompSci major, I have Mungalsingh for Computer Architechure and Rodriguez for AP Java.
