Modded video driver for 6970 2gb? or help

i play a game called Rappelz Epic 7.3 (US) and i'm getting full system freezes anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours into play. Someone in the Rappelz forums told me to re-install an older video driver so i went from version 11.11 to 11.6 and am still having the same issue. Is there a modded Catalyst Driver that would work better than using an older version?

I also play Battle Field 3 sometimes and don't have any issues in game at all.

never played it but i'm guessing its an openGL game? if so then theres probably no way to fix it since they are probably running a legacy openGL engine which AMD dropped support for. but again thats if they are using the openGL engine, if they aren't then its a totally different problem.
