i just got a set of monsoon mh505s and so far they are wonderful but i dont really have a place to put the back speakers and since i share a small room in an apartment with my girlfriend there is really hardly any space at all. At first i wanted to wall mount them but that proved to be a bit difficult because the bed we got was too tall and because of that the speakers would be somewhat in the way. Origionaly i was going to build a shelf but now they would be angled too far upward and probably just sound awful. So ive decided that i will probably mod the stands so i can attatch them to the cieling upside down so that they are actually angled downward toward my desk area. My question is do you think this would ruin the sound quality? OR any suggestions for how else i should mount them or hack somethin togeather to get them facing the right way? anythin helps since i cant find any info about mounting these speakers.

OK heres what I would do.
I would get a set of THESE brakets, notice the square end? I would glue that to the bottom of your speaker stand with a strong epoxy. The other end could then be attached to a shelf bracket like I've done here for a set of GMX's that I use in my bedroom. (this is an older pic. The wiring has been hidden neatly behind the wall.)
