I've got a ASUS P8Z77-V premium and want to use the onboard Marvell RAID ports to do a RAID 10 setup for my photography work.

I've been reading mixed reviews on a few drives like the WD Reds. I'd like to get 3TB drives or at least 2TB and I'd like to stay under 300 a drive.

What would you buy?

Also, what's your favorite HDD in a non raid setup for personal unimportant storage?
