The power circuitry has always been the hottest spot in my system, but today after doing some stability testing (prime95 x2 and rthdribl) I went back and checked the high/low logs from mbm5 and saw that it peaked at 118 degrees C.

How much of a problem is this?

This is in an open SB65G2 with a p4 3.2c @ 3.6ghz and an external PSU. So nothing is blocking them from all of the cooler air in my room. Of course nothing is actively pushing air across them either...

thats far too hot, and the same reason why i cannot run my mobo without the otes, the pwm gets to ~65-70C without the otes put a fan blowing at them and you will be all set
