I just got an asus p5wdh deluxe motherboard with a core 2 duo e6400 processor. When I run the asus PC Probe 2 software it tells me that my motherboard is overheating. Here is an image of the sensor programs, should I be concerned with this?

OUCH....that does look bad...hate to be the bearer of bad news but you already know this...my mb peaks at 45 steady under heavy load after hours of ORTHOS.

I am running two case fans that are pretty strong... the processor is not overheating though... why is the mobo so hot?

I don't know, mine maxxes at 45, but I think it's only that high because it's not making good contact with the HS...which sux (in my case cause my big typhoon has warped my board; plus I wish I never took off the stock grease they had on there because the AS5 I have on there now doesn't work as good as it was originally....no going back!).

Makes you wonder if there's something wrong with some diode or something. Have you checked the contact between the HS? If not, this is a good case for a MB rma if it's not too late.

yeah the heatsync is ok. I have contacted asus and I should be able to get an RMA. Thanks for the help.

cap on the SB? There isn't a cap on the SB. Should I put a fan on the NB or
SB? (not both!). Which runs hotter, seems like the NB to me.
