Mobo for Xeon E7-4890 v2

A friend of mine just gave me a Xeon E7-4890 v2 engineering sample CPU as a gift. (dont ask why, long story ) He says its in working condition.

Could you guys recommend to me a good mobo for this CPU? If it uses DDR3 the better

The other thing is, these server mobos usually have 2 cpu sockets... Can they work with only 1 cpu plugged in?
