Beisdes the fact that one has 64MB of RAM and one has 128MB, which one would be the overall better performer?

haha....these both really suck...but the X300 would be the best bet

They are pretty much the same thing, but the X300 is PCI-express, im sure there are also minor clock speed differences. Personally id go for whichever one is 128MB.

Go with the 9600. The X300 is the lower rank model which replaces 9200ish cards. For all you know it could have 64 bit memory lanes.
Where as the X600 repalce the 9600 line of cards and I do not know of one laptop which has a 9600SE.
Go with the 9600!

Um, wrong on both counts. The 9600 is actually a bit better bet. As for 'they both really suck', that's very relative. Most people don't buy laptops to be a heavy duty gaming machine. For the casual gamer who want's a desktop replacement laptop, they certainly don't 'suck'. Try comparing apples to apples next time.

I would say go with the 9600M.....If you can get one with a M9700 or higher...

i totally agree the 6600go would be the best choice but the 9700mobile is the next then the 9600m dont go with the x300 it sux

The x300 SE has a 64-bit memory bus, but the regular Mobility x300 has a 128-bit memory bus. See this page: http://www.legitreviews.com/article.php?aid=122&pid=3 . The Mobility x300 speeds (350MHz core/300MHz DDR mem) is better than even the Mobility 9600 Pro, but too bad the Mobility x300 only supports a max of 64MB.

Generally, 9600 = x300 (regular) and 9600SE = x300 SE for desktop chip performance. Mobile parts do have varying clock speeds depending on the laptop form factor and manufacturer, so check first.

LOL its proably an Fx go5600 not 6600
naw, there's some other tards that also call the GF 6600 a "FX". That laptop has a Sonoma chipset, so it's a go 6600.
