Looking to get a new Laptop and it has a radeon Mobility 7500, the only game I play is counter strike and thats on my desktop with a 9600XT.

How well will the movility 7500 play Counter strike.

its decent. my friend has hte mobility 7000 and he can play source...............amazing eh? so ur 1.6 should be fine.

Source doesn't "suck", but it does require more than anything in the Radeon 7x or 8x series can offer.

source does suck, big time.

even on my brothers top of the line system.

If you like, post a thread making this claim in the PC gaming forum.

Apologies to OP for getting off topic. We now return you to your program, already in progress.

Well you can get good FPS in source with the 8500 series. I once ran 800x600 heavily tweaked on a radeon 9000 & P-M 1.6 with a solid 60+ fps at all times.

I agree there is potential for the experienced tweaker. However, stock, and considering that this is a non-moddable and likely non-OCable mobile, I'd be inclined to say avoid Source, considering that the majority of laptops that carry 7x series chips usually are toting early Northwood P4 in the 1.5 range and XPs equivalent. Those combos would not be particularly conducive to decent gameplay in Source games, unless you had just about everything on its lowest setting.

Restated, however, original CS (1.6) will run smooth as owl shit. :D
