Is the mobile worth the extra $30 it currently runs here in the frozen north? Am thinking maybee should splurge for it for the future, or would it be feasable to o/c it to 200mhz bus right away and just grab an aeroflow heatsink or something similar? Compaired to the retail barton it's like +60 dollars difference, think it's worth? (heatsink + higher price)

Where in the north do you live? I live in Sweden and i've found em for about same prices as a regular XP Barton on stores such as itbutiken.dk etc just a bit hard to find..don't go spending extra on them though they should be feasible at about same price as a desktop cpu.

IMHO it is totally worth the extra $30, i already buy aftermarket HSF's so i dont count it to be extra ;)
with the mobile, you have much more OCing capabilites (if ur into that). also, the mobile has an unlocked mult i THINK

btw i dont know what feasable means :p

The 2500+ mobile is averagine around a 2.4Ghz overclock and the multi IS unlocked so you can leave your FSB at around 200-220Mhz and have a stable system.

They are definitely better then the regular desktop 2500+ bartons. Some have gotten 2.7Ghz overclocks.

Need a place to buy? Vibe and Bigfoot Computers have them. NCIX does too, but I'm not sure about their stock.
